Two changes landed on September 23, 2026. One is about where you get your alerts. The other is about who else can.
TL;DR:
- New accounts use the bujusjujus app on iPhone or Android. The website version and the ntfy option are no longer offered to new members.
- Already using the website or ntfy? Nothing changes for you. You keep them for as long as you stay subscribed.
- You can still manage your account from any browser — change or cancel your subscription, or delete your account — at bujusjujus.com/account-help.
- New: the bujusjujus Alerts API. The same real-time restock alerts, for businesses building apps, bots and AI agents. Read the docs.
Why we're going app-only
When bujusjujus started, you had three ways to get an alert: the website installed to your home screen, the open-source ntfy app, and later our own iPhone and Android apps. Three ways in meant three things to set up, three places for something to go wrong, and three versions of every improvement we wanted to ship.
The apps won that race on their own. Most people who joined this summer went straight to them, and it's easy to see why:
- Real lock-screen alerts that arrive the moment a drop goes live — no browser tab to keep alive, no "add to home screen" dance.
- One sign-in, with Face ID and Sign in with Apple on iPhone.
- Everything in one place: the live feed, Drop Watch, your price ceiling and muted products, all in the same app you get the alert from.
So that's where we're putting our effort. Every new account now starts in the app, and everything new we build lands there first.
If you already use the website or ntfy
You don't have to do anything. If you were using the bujusjujus website or the ntfy app before this change, your access stays exactly as it is for as long as you're subscribed. Same login, same alerts.
If you'd like to try the app, sign in with the same username and password — your subscription, price ceiling and settings carry over.
One thing to know: if you cancel and come back later, you'll come back to the app. The website and ntfy options aren't available to new or returning accounts.
Managing your account without the app
You don't need the app to take care of your account. At bujusjujus.com/account-help, enter the email on your account and we'll send you a one-time secure link to:
- Manage or cancel your subscription (website subscriptions open our billing portal; App Store and Google Play subscriptions are managed in their stores, and the page tells you where), or
- Delete your account and your data.
The link works once and expires after an hour, and nothing changes until you confirm on the page it opens.
New: the bujusjujus Alerts API
More and more people ask an AI assistant to keep an eye on things for them. So we built a way for those assistants — and the developers building them — to get the same alerts our app sends.
The bujusjujus Alerts API gives an app, bot or AI agent our real-time Pokemon TCG restock alerts across the retailers we cover. It speaks MCP, the standard AI assistants use to connect to tools, so an assistant like Claude can use it directly. Your agent can:
- Ask what's in stock right now, filtered by retailer, product, or how far over retail you're willing to pay.
- Wait for the next matching drop and hear about it the moment we do — the same moment our app subscribers get their push.
- Receive signed webhooks on your own server, one per matching alert.
Every alert comes with the retailer's link, the price, the retail price (MSRP) and how far over it the listing is, and a clear confirmed-or-unverified flag, so an assistant never mistakes a rumor for stock.
Two tiers, both self-serve. A free Reference tier returns the same rows five minutes later — four tools, 5,000 calls a day, issued the moment you ask it, no card. The API delivers information, not purchases. What you build with it is up to you — including following each retailer's rules and purchase limits.
Nothing changes about the alerts themselves
Whether an alert reaches you through the app, the website you already use, or someone's AI agent, it's the same alert: a product in stock, at a real retailer, at a price worth paying. Same retailers, same speed, same refusal to push you a listing that's marked up beyond your ceiling.
