In-app deletion (fastest)

If you have the bujusjujus app installed on iOS or Android, you can permanently delete your account from inside the app:

  1. iOS: open the app → Settings → Delete account (under Danger zone).
  2. Android: open the app → Account (top of the screen) → type DELETE → Delete my account.
  3. Web: sign in at alerts.bujusjujus.com/login → Account → type DELETE → Delete my account.

Email request

If you can't access the app or web dashboard (forgot your password, device unavailable, etc.), email [email protected] from the address associated with your account, with the subject line "Delete my account". We will verify and process the deletion within 7 business days and confirm by reply.

What gets deleted

Deletion permanently removes all personal data associated with your account:

  • Email address (scrubbed)
  • Password hash (cleared)
  • Payment customer ID and any link to your Square subscription
  • Apple Push Notification (APNs) device tokens and Apple App Attest keys
  • Web Push browser subscriptions
  • Muted-product preferences and per-account retailer route configuration
  • Android push (FCM) registration tokens
  • ntfy notification channel

What we keep, and why

For legal and operational reasons we retain a minimal soft-deleted record:

  • Username — kept reserved so the same name can't be re-registered by someone else (prevents impersonation of former subscribers).
  • Cancellation timestamp — for billing/audit reconciliation.
  • Anonymized marketing-attribution columns — aggregate marketing channel only, no PII.
  • Payment records held by Square are subject to Square's data retention policy; we cannot delete those.

Subscriptions and refunds

Deleting your account does not automatically issue a refund. If you have an active paid subscription and want a prorated refund, email [email protected] before deleting so we can match your account to the Square charge.
