Alerts API · Setup

Connect Pokemon restock alerts to your AI assistant

Three steps: get a key, add one MCP server to your client, and ask. It takes a couple of minutes, and the free key works for everything on this page.

1. Get a key

Go to bujusjujus.com/api-access, enter your email and open the link we send. In your developer console, take a free Reference key (the same alerts five minutes later), or subscribe to Live for real time.

A key looks like bjs_ followed by 43 characters and is shown once. Keep it out of shared files and public repositories.

2. Add the server to your client

Every client needs the same two things: the server address https://bujusjuj.us/mcp and the header Authorization: Bearer bjs_YOUR_KEY. Only the file and the key names differ.

Claude Code

One command, with your key in an environment variable:

export BUJUS_API_KEY=bjs_YOUR_KEY
claude mcp add --transport http bujusjujus https://bujusjuj.us/mcp \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer $BUJUS_API_KEY"

Run claude mcp list to confirm it connected.

Claude Desktop

Claude Desktop's config file runs local servers, so the remote server is bridged with mcp-remote (it needs Node.js). Open the config from Settings → Developer → Edit Config and add:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "bujusjujus": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["-y", "mcp-remote", "https://bujusjuj.us/mcp",
               "--header", "Authorization:${BUJUS_AUTH}"],
      "env": { "BUJUS_AUTH": "Bearer bjs_YOUR_KEY" }
    }
  }
}

The header value lives in env because some clients split arguments on spaces. Restart Claude Desktop after saving.

Cursor

Add the server to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (every project) or .cursor/mcp.json (one project):

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "bujusjujus": {
      "url": "https://bujusjuj.us/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer bjs_YOUR_KEY" }
    }
  }
}

VS Code

In .vscode/mcp.json, this asks for the key once and stores it securely instead of writing it into the file:

{
  "inputs": [
    { "type": "promptString", "id": "bujus-key", "description": "bujusjujus API key", "password": true }
  ],
  "servers": {
    "bujusjujus": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://bujusjuj.us/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer ${input:bujus-key}" }
    }
  }
}

Any other MCP client

Most clients that support remote HTTP servers accept this shape (the file and key names vary):

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "bujusjujus": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://bujusjuj.us/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer bjs_YOUR_KEY" }
    }
  }
}

If a client only runs local servers, use the mcp-remote bridge shown for Claude Desktop.

From your own code

No MCP client needed: every call is a JSON-RPC POST.

curl -s https://bujusjuj.us/mcp \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $BUJUS_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"method":"tools/call",
       "params":{"name":"list_recent_drops","arguments":{"sinceHours":24}}}'

The API docs cover every tool, the long-poll loop and signed webhooks. Runnable examples in Node and Python, including a Discord feed, are on GitHub.

3. Ask

Try these once the server shows as connected:
